.DISPLACEMENT

Hanover Project presents the first student exhibition of 2020 running from 27th February – 2nd March.

All are welcome to attend the open evening on 27th February 5-7 pm, refreshments will be provided.

Displacement is an exhibition planned and led by 8 second-year students. The work is focusing on movement. Each artist has created a response using a range of materials.

When we first think of movement, our minds shift towards the physical, perhaps of a person or an object changing the space it occupies. In this show, the artists are exploring the movement in a variety of forms – physical, social, figurative etc.

In the gallery, there is an exploration of many issues. The students hope to open their minds to the different meanings that movement can hold. Tackling issues such as identity, childhood memories, the way paint moves, the physicality of nature, homelessness and more.
