Our new gallery Interns, Sara Hood and Abigail Rooney, have begun their roles as the new interns for Hanover Gallery, by curating the previous show again, Concomitant. Works included by the 3rd Year Interns, Robin Fanner and Rikki Kirby, and their chosen collaborative artists, David Howe and Jules Hefferon.

Looking at the show with fresh eyes, unintentional connections were made apparent after the artist talks, open discussion, and extended viewing periods. By focusing on these relationships, Sara and Abigail have explored ideas of scale and digitisation of traditional media, utilising the unique aspects of the Hanover Gallery architecture while doing so. By delving into this, they hope to bring and combine all aspects of the gallery, from the space itself to the work it displays.

The show itself has been altered to bring together and unify these artist’s work, to fully relate to its title:

Concomitant, ‘naturally accompanying or associated.

A preview event will be held on Thursday 5th December 4 pm-6 pm. Refreshments will be freely available, and everyone is invited.

The exhibition runs until 13th December. Open 9 am-5 pm every weekday (closed at weekends).
